This handmade teapot, made in Chicago, is the perfect way to brew loose leaf tea. Simply place the loose-leaf tea of your choice in the removable swivel tea basket and add hot water at the desired temperature. Pour enough water so that most of the tea leaves are submerged, but do not exceed the height of the tea strainer. Coarse loose-leaf tea is recommended. This teapot is carefully handmade, resulting in a unique and one-of-a-kind piece. While slight irregularities or blemishes may occur, it only adds to its charm.

Lidded teapots: For lidded teapots please remove the lid prior to pouring your tea. The lid is intended to keep your tea warm at the desired temp while steeping. The lid is not intended to remain in place when pouring. Leaving the lid on may cause the tea strainer to become dislodged, or the lid may become loose when pouring.

Care: For best results, hand washing is recommended. Handle with care for long-lasting use.

Proper Use: the swinging tea basket is meant to stay level using gravity when pouring, it is not intended to be fully inverted. Improper usage can result in damage or dislodgment of the tea basket. Please support the tea basket at all times. Teapot and its contents may get hot when used with hot water, please use caution.

Food Safety: All glazes are considered food safe and do not release harmful metals into food or liquids. Stoneware clay used is fired to cone 10(2381F) in a reduction atmosphere and is fully vitrified, so no leaks should occur and minimal absorption.
